I am passionate about joy. I’ve often heard phrases like “I don’t need anyone.”While I admit that sometimes I need to be alone to recharge, I genuinely love connecting with others, as it reminds me that I am alive. As I get older, I value connections and kindness deeply, often in the simplest ways.
A seed in full bloom of joy.
There was a time when my connections with those close to me felt limited. My morning walks became something I looked forward to, and I began to notice two older ladies who walked around the same time each day. Every morning, I could hear them laughing and sharing stories; it was a beautiful sight. They would greet me with a friendly “good morning” as we passed. This simple, polite gesture often represented my only real interaction with another adult that day. I cherish that feeling and try to foster that kind of connection whenever possible.
“Being nice? Pssh. Many people are naturally nice. But am I being kind? Kindness is love in action. By its very nature, it requires intention and effort.”

“The act of kindness we offer in this moment could be the difference between someone choosing to give up or deciding to live another day.”

While our wrongdoings often receive more attention, countless acts of kindness go unnoticed. Our connections with others can make a more significant difference than we realize. It’s important to understand the impact that a small gesture can have on someone’s life. Years later, I still remember the friendly “good mornings” I shared during my early morning walks.
So, I’ll end this note by asking: Who are you passing by, and how are you interacting with them?
Spread kindness.
